AUSTRALIAN MAIDENHAIR – Adiantum hispidulum

Spreading five-fingered fronds are borne on slender wiry stems. Young leaves have an attractive pink coloring.

TEMPERATURE: Average climate; minimum at night 55-65 degrees; tolerates as cool as 45 for short periods. Best with days 70 degrees or cooler.

LIGHT: Shade from direct sun; good in unbroken north light all year. Needs humid air too prevent leaf edges from turning brown.

WATERING: Never allow soil to dry out, though do not saturate it. Where cooler and drier atmosphere prevails in winter when growth is slower, water only enough to prevent wilting.

FERTILIZE: Apply at half the recommended strenght every 4-6 months.
