Mother Fern

MOTHER FERN – Asplenium viviparum

Lacy dark green fronds arch and cascade as new plantlets develop right on the mother plant.

TEMPERATURE: Average to cool conditions, minimum at night 50-55 degrees.

LIGHT: Shade from direct sun; good in unbroken north light all year. Needs humid air too prevent leaf edges from turning brown.

WATERING: Never allow soil to dry out, though do not saturate it. Where cooler and drier atmosphere prevails in winter when growth is slower, water only enough to prevent wilting.

FERTILIZE: Apply at half the recommended strenght every 4-6 months.
